home locations tropical wallpaper

In part one of this two-part blog series, we went over some of the most common home locations where designers and homeowners tend to place tropical wallpaper. Tropical wallpaper themes add boldness, color and also relaxation elements to many rooms or home areas, but you don’t want to overwhelm the entire home with only this style either.

At Wallpaper Warehouse, we’re happy to offer a wide range of tropical wallpaper materials among our numerous discount wallpaper options. In today’s part two of our series, we’ll go over a few additional areas of the home you might consider placing tropical wallpaper in, plus some general tips and expertise we’d offer on each of these areas and how to properly utilize tropical themes and designs.

Kitchen Themes

Depending on your kitchen’s size, layout and current aesthetics, there may be several different ways you can utilize tropical wallpaper within one. Some themes are more accent-focused while others may actually be the primary design for the space.

Within the former category, one of the most popular formats involves placing tropical wallpaper on what would normally be a tile backsplash behind your sink. There is no rule stating this area must be tile, and in many kitchens some tropical wallpaper in this area will bring warm, happy feelings to those in the room. In other cases, such as if your kitchen has multiple full wall spaces that define its aesthetics, you might consider the tropical theme as your primary kitchen design, around which you design complementary features like cabinets, countertops and others.

Dining Room

There are also many situations where tropical wallpaper can make a big impact on a dining room or dining area, including in formal dining areas where you may have previously thought tropical wasn’t an option. There are many rich, darker tropical wallpaper formats available, including those set around palm trees that perfectly accent glamorous tables, chairs, chandeliers and other possible dining room elements.

In less format settings, tropical wallpaper might shine even more. It’s perfect for dining rooms that receive a lot of natural light, allowing for the kinds of soft, breezy hues that best complement such lighting formats.

Living and Sitting Rooms

Finally, those looking to spice up a living room or sitting room area should consider either tropical wallpaper accents or even full-wall designs. These designs range widely in color themes, allowing you to match existing décor – from lighter paper areas to match couches and chairs to darker textiles, depending on your specific desires.
